This project assigned an ecological value to each wetland object identified in the current wetland inventory using rigorous, objective, relevant, and scientifically defensible methodology<\/SPAN>. A<\/SPAN> GIS-based multi-criteria decision analysis (GIS-MCDA) <\/SPAN>was used tp q<\/SPAN>uantify, weight, and identify wetlands with high ecological value in Parkland County. Multi-criteria decision analysis is a method that is commonly used to conceptualize and structure complex decisions or problems that involve multiple criteria, through the development of decision rules that are used to aggregate and rank those criteria <\/SPAN><\/P>

To achieve this objective, we identified 3 key criteria for identifying ecologically important wetlands in Parkland County, and these criteria are further organized into a hierarchy of sub-components that includes sub-criteria and indicators. This file shows the final scoring for each critieria, and total combined score for each wetland<\/SPAN><\/P>
